John's Island Man Struck & Killed by Car While Assisting Motorist

The importance of roadside safety and awareness is made even clearer by the devastating loss of 24-year-old Aubrey Heyward of Johns Island. While on the way to work for a new job he was to start on Monday, he saw a disabled vehicle in a ditch on the side of the road. While he was stopped trying to get medical assistance for the driver of the vehicle, an oncoming car hit him, causing fatal injuries.
