17-Year-Old Injured, 19-Year-Old Died in Hanahan Crash

Hanahan, S.C. - On Saturday, October 1st, a collision on Oakley Road left 19-year-old Thomas Mack dead and 17-year-old Blade Scott Kornahrens seriously injured.

At around 1:45pm, Kornahrens was traveling in a Ford pickup and Mack in a Pontiac sedan when they collided on Oakley Road, near Doughty Lane. Mack was pronounced dead at the scene and Kornahrens was taken to MUSC where he has been listed as being in serious condition.

Neither of the drivers was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The incident is under investigation and no charges have yet been made.
