21 Year Old Charleston Man Dies After His Motorcycle Collides With Car

According to a statement from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, two motorcycles were traveling West on Ashley Phosphate Road on Wednesday afternoon when a Volvo turned onto the road from Hunters Ridge. The first motorcycle which was driven by 21 year old Devon Jenkins of Charleston, crashed into the side of the Volvo causing his death upon impact. Reports say that Jenkins was not wearing a helmet. The other motorcycle ran into the downed motorcycle. The 19 year old driving that vehicle was not injured.
The 22 year old driver of the car was taken to Trident Regional Hospital for treatment.
