6-Year-Old Child Killed in Lexington DUI Accident

Lexington, S.C. - A DUI accident in Lexington caused the death of a 6-year-old girl on the morning of Sunday, January 1st.
Emma Longstreet was riding in a vehicle with her family on their way to church around 10:40am, when a car driven by Billy Patrick Hutto, Jr. collided with their vehicle.
The accident occurred at U.S. 378 and Old Cherokee Road when Emma's father, David Longstreet, was attempting to make a left turn onto U.S. 378. Their van was hit on the side by Hutto's vehicle, which caused the Longstreet's van to be pushed into Kenneth Sinchak's vehicle.
Emma was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred, but she did not survive the crash. The five other members of Emma's family that were in the vehicle and Sinchak were taken to Palmetto Heath Richland to be treated for the injuries that they sustained in the accident. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Hutto was under the influence at the time of the accident and has been charged with both felony driving under the influence causing death and felony driving under the influence causing great bodily injury.
