Anderson Woman Dies Due to Injuries from Accident

Anderson County, S.C. — On Saturday, January 14th, an Anderson woman died due to injuries that she sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday, the 12th.

Twenty-eight-year-old Crystal Cribbs was driving on S.C. 28 Bypass in Anderson at around 9:20 p.m, when the head-on accident happened near Charley Drive. Cribbs' vehicle allegedly crossed the median and collided with a pickup truck that was traveling west, driven by Jaime Guevara, 46.

Guevara did not sustain any injuries in the accident and was wearing a seat belt when the accident happened. Cribbs did not have a seat belt on at the time of the accident and was trapped in her vehicle.

Cribbs was taken to AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson to be treated for head trauma. She later died due to this injury.
