Christmas Hit-and-Run Driver Still on the Run

Moncks Corner, S.C. - A 21-year-old man is still on the run after he hit a vehicle and failed to stop on Christmas Day.
A family of three were riding in the vehicle that was hit by Steve Johnson, who then fled the scene of the accident. The family was taken to a hospital in Moncks Corner to be treated for the injuries they sustained in the accident.
The incident occurred at around 2:00pm on Christmas Day on Highway 52 in Berkeley County. After the accident happened, Johnson abandoned his truck and ran into the woods.
A warrant has been issued for Johnson for the hit-and-run accident.
