Driver in 2-Car Collision on Dorchester Road Killed

May 5, 2011 - North Charleston, S.C. - According to a report from the Post and Courier, a driver in a 2-car collision on Dorchester Road was killed on April 23.

Donald Guillotte, 43, of Mississippi, was driving his Chrysler on Dorchester Road, Saturday, April 23, when he was struck by another vehicle after he failed to stop at an intersection controlled by a traffic device.

Guillotte had just exited Interstate 526 when the unidentified driver of a Chevrolet struck him. He was taken to Medical University Hospital where he died as a result of the injuries he sustained from the car accident.

The driver of the Chevrolet was also taken to the hospital; however there is no word on the extent of victim's injuries. A third, unoccupied car was struck by debris from the car accident.

Police continue to investigate the fatal car accident.
