Fatal Pawleys Island Wreck Claims One Life

Pawleys Island, S.C. - A seventy-four year old man was killed and more were injured in an accident on Highway 17 on Sunday, September 25th on Pawleys Island.
Donald Lacy was turning out of a shopping center and onto Highway 17 when his car was hit by another vehicle, which caused his vehicle to overturn. He was then taken to MUSC where he later died of injuries caused in the accident. A passenger in his vehicle, whose injuries are currently unknown, was taken to Georgetown Hospital.
The Mount Pleasant man who was driving the other vehicle, as well as his passenger, did not need medical attention and were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
