Four People Injured After Shots Fired Into Car

Three people were taken to Colleton Medical Center and one victim was airlifted to MUSC when the car they were in was involved in the aftermath of a domestic dispute.
The accident occured after the victims witnessed Ervin Sanders, Jr of Round O, SC punching a woman repeatedly in the face in the parking lot of the El Cheap O gas station on Snyders Highway in Walterboro, SC. The victims intervened and the suspect then threatened the victims that he would return. Sanders later returned in his vehicle and began following the victims into town and took fire upon the vehicle. The victims drove the vehicle towards the Colleton County Sheriff's Office Detention Center to get help and shots were fired again. One of the victims was shot in the neck and was airlifted to MUSC. Sanders left the victims at the jail and was stopped by Walterboro Public Safety Officers. A 9mm handgun was retrieved from the car as well as spent shell casings.
The victims are identified as Kewaun Richards, Charkis Richards, James Murdaugh of Walterboro  and Sylina Brooks of Batesburg. The victim that was shot in the neck is back home and in good condition. The surgeons could not remove the bullet from his neck for fear of causing further damage. 
Sanders is being charged with several charges including 4 counts of attempted murder.
