Goose Creek Woman Faces DUI Charges After Fatal Wreck

According to 911 callers, Evelyn Freeman, 20, of Amy Drive in Goose Creek was swerving and speeding moments before she lost control, struck the median and crossed 4 lanes of traffic landing in a ditch.

The fatal accident occurred between the 210 and 209 mile markers on I26 between the Remount Road and Aviation exits around 2 a.m on July 6, 2011.

Terrall Freeman,28, of North Charleston was a passenger in the vehicle and was ejected onto the roadway and killed when a passing vehicle struck him. Emergency workers transported the driver to MUSC with non life threatening injuries.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is charging Freeman with felony DUI.
