Johns Island Woman Dies In Moped Accident

Thirty two year old Elizabeth Parker of Johns Island died on Sunday as a result of a motor vehicle accident that happened on Friday, May 20,2011.
According to Lt. Donnie Quick of Mount Pleasant Police Department the victim was merging onto the Ravenel Bridge at approximately 10:00 pm. As Parker was merging onto the bridge from Coleman Boulevard a vehicle struck the moped that she was driving in the rear. The impact of the vehicle caused her to become ejected from her vehicle.
Ms. Parker was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. Ms. Parker passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011.
William Dennis Hunt of Ridgeville was arrested and charged with felony DUI.
