Johnston Woman Killed in Accident

Aiken, SC - One person was killed and two have been injured in an accident that occurred on Friday, October, 21st, on Highway 19 in Aiken County, South Carolina.

A 70-year-old woman, Dora Jones from Johnston, was driving south when she was hit by 27-year-old Demicka Curry. Jones was hit on the driver's side of the vehicle resulting in her car overturning several times.

It was determined that the accident was caused by Curry failing to stop at a the stop sign. Curry and her 10-year-old son, who was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident, were taken to a nearby hospital. The accident is still currently under investigation.
