Man Facing Charges For Shoplifting and a Hit-and-Run in Cayce

According to the Cayce Department of Public Safety, Cory Wayne Duval, 21, stole a large amount of cigarettes from a Charleston Highway Bi-Lo on Wednesday. As he was attempting to flee in his car, he hit another car, and continued driving away.

The woman whose car Duval was driving, Kristen Hope Fox, was left at the Bi-Lo. Duval was later found and arrested not far from the accident.

Duval has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury and shoplifting. Fox has been charged with obstruction of justice because she provided misleading information to protect Duval.
