Man Passes Out, Dies While Working For Moving Company

Jonathan LaPointe died Thursday after a cardiac episode in Summerville, South Carolina. The 32-year old man was working for a moving company when he became over-heated.

LaPointe passed out and suffered a cardiac episode before he was rushed to a local hospital. An autopsy was performed and the results are pending.

LaPointe is one of many people in the low country who suffer heat exhaustion and even death in our sweltering summer temperatures. Try to combat over-heating by following heat advisories when possible, drinking lots of water, and taking breaks when needed.
