Man Sues TLC LASIK Eye Centers for $180 Million

John Hollman of Beaufort, SC filed a lawsuit against TLC LASIK Centers. The suit, which was filed in the Federal Court in Greenville, claims that TLC LASIK Centers performed lasik procedures on aptients with pre-existing conditions, who were not supposed to be candidates at all.
Hollman's attorneys have asked for class action status. A class action status would effect eye clinics around the country and allow other patients who were harmed by the procedure to file a claim as well. TLC LASIK's parent company, TLC Vision, has recently filed for bankruptcy. This may affect the outcome of Hollman's $180 million suit.
