Moncks Corner Woman Killed In Wreck Caused By DUI Driver

Moncks Corner, S.C. - A Moncks Corner woman has been arrested and charged with felony DUI after she caused an accident that killed a Moncks Corner woman on the night of Thursday, November 10th.
While driving under the influence on Broughton Road in Moncks Corner, 33-year-old Shana Robinson crossed the center line and hit Candy Zoll's car head-on. Fourty-seven-year-old Zoll was taken to a local hospital, where she died of injuries from the accident.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
Robinson is being treated for her injuiries at Medical University Hospital and her 23-year-old passenger, Brittany Hartley, was also injured in the wreck. It has also been reported that while treating Robinson for her injuries, an EMS employee found marijuana in Robinson's pants and tried to conceal it. The employee has not been charged and an internal investigation is currently taking place.
