Mother and Daughter Killed in Wreck on SC Interstate 85

According to authorities Shawna Geraldine Zamora & Lillyana Zamora of California were killed in an automobile accident on interstate 85 near Blacksburg. The accident happened shortly after 2am Wednesday morning.

Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says the woman was driving a sports utility vehicle towards Charlotte, NC when it ran off the road and then crossed back into the median where it overturned.

Neither victim was wearing a safety belt and were thrown from the vehicle. Zamora's other 2 children and one other adult were in the vehicle as well. The other passengers in the vehicle were treated for injuries.
