  • Another Wreck on I-26 Causes Morning Traffic Delays Another accident on I-26 in North Charleston causes early morning delays. On April 8, 2010, three accidents that involved 10 cars and happened within minutes of one another cause serious delays for early morning traffic on I-26. No one was seriously injured, but one man was trapped in his car and later treated for minor injuries at MUSC.
  • Second Woman Dies After Head-On Collision Sybil Alston, 71, of North Charleston died on Tuesday after her Sedan collided with another vehicle head-on. Alstone was rushed to MUSC, where she later died from injuries. police are investigating the accident.
  • Woman Dies in Head-on Collision with Utility Truck Catherine Anderson of Bonneau, SC died Wednesday afternoon after a head on collision with a utility truck. The accident occured on Cainhoy Road. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene and the utility driver had no major injuries. Both were reportedly wearing seat belts.
  • Man Dies While Trapped in Fiery Car A man died in a fiery accident in Lexington County, SC after his truck veered fromt he road and hit a tree. The accident occured around 11:55 p.m. last Thursday on N. Edisto Road. It is believed that speed was a factor in the accident. The man was trapped in his car when it burst into flames.
  • AAA Ranks Charleston County #1 for Car Accidents AAA has found Charleston County to be #1 for car accidents in South Carolina. They also found that fatal accidents were more likely to occur in rural areas. These findings were based on their analysis of 2008 crash statistics in the state. Calhoun County was found to be the safest county for car accidents in the state.
  • Couple Dies in Possible Toyota Recalled Car Leroy Singler, Jr. and Martha "Ruby" Shingler died last Thursday after their car lost control and hit a tree. The couple was ina 2009 Toyota Camry. It is rumored that Toyota will be investigating the accident.
  • Man Die After Rear-Ending Ambulance A 25-year old Pennsylvania man died Wednesday morning after rear-ending an Horry County ambulance the night before.
  • 7 Injured, 2 Killed in 5 Car Accident Victor Felder, 56, and Isaiah Johnson, 5, died as a result of injuries sustained in a five car accident Saturday night. The accident occurred on I-26 near Orangeburg. The first collision between a car and a van towing an empty trailer set off a chain-reaction, which resulted in a 5 car accident. Seven others were injured and the accident is under investigation.
  • Passenger Killed in DUI Related Accident Eddie Harris, 32, died Saturday night in North Charleston after being involved in a single car accident. Harris was a passenger in a car driven Christopher Leroy Wright, 21, who was charged with DUI and his third DUS.
