Motorcyclist Killed in Florence CollisionPosted on Apr 03, 2012
The motorcyclist, 72-year-old William Earl Baggett of Mullins, was traveling west on East Palmetto Street at around 5:00pm when it was hit by a Mercedes that was trying to turn left in front of the motorcycle. The Mercedes did not yield to Baggett's Harley Davidson, thus causing the collision.
Baggett was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries caused by the accident. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
