Rock Hill Man Sitting In Parked Car Killed In Fort Mill Accident

Fort Mill, S.C. - On the night of Monday, October 10th, a 42-year-old Rock Hill man was sitting in his car in a driveway in Fort Mill when he was hit and killed by another vehicle.

The victim was parked in the driveway of the Loving Group Landscaping Company when, at around 6:30pm, two vehicles traveling north on Harrisburg Road lost control of their vehicles and ran off the road. One of the vehicles, driven by Hector Figueroa, crashed into the victim's parked car. The other vehicle involved in the incident managed to avoid the victim's car and then drove off.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville where he was pronounced dead. Figueroa was taken to Piedmont Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries. It is unknown whether any charges will be made at this time.
