Two Fatal Accidents In Colleton County

There were two fatal car accidents in Colleton County Saturday evening. Both were single car accidents and involved overturned vehicles.
The first occurred around 5:25 p.m. on I-95 in Colleton County. It happened when the driver, 27-year old Jose Adionias, ran into the median, causing the vehicle to overturn. Two people were ejected from the vehicle. Whether the driver and passengers were wearing seat belts is unknown. One passenger, who has not been identified, died. Adionias was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The second accident occurred late Saturday night around 11:45 p.m. on S.C. Highway 64. The driver ran off the right-side of the road, causing the car to overturn. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and died from injuries. S.C. Highway patrol has not released the driver's identity.
Both accidents are under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
