Woman Driving Under The Influence Hits 2 Firefighters in Goose Creek

Goose Creek, S.C. - On the Tuesday, October 19th, crews were clearing a wreck on St. James Avenue when a car ran through the emergency scene and hit two firefighters.

The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Jessica Lanier, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Firefighters Christopher Harrison and Captain Michael Althoff were taken to Trident Hospital where they were treated and released for their injuries.

The accident that the firefighters were helping to clear occurred around 11:30pm and Lanier drove through the scene shortly after this time. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently undergoing an investigation of the accident.
