Carles’ Gambraie Anderson graduated from University of South Carolina with an undergrad degree in Political Science where she worked as a peer leader on campus educating students on the importance of establishing healthy relationships. While pursuing her Juris Doctorate from Charleston School of Law, Ms. Anderson was Chair of Honor Council and served on the Black Law Students Association outreach board and helped to expand the scholarship reach for minority students seeking a career in the legal field. Additionally, Carles’ interned for several organizations that assisted people experiencing poverty during her law school career, including the Federal Public Defenders’ Office. As a clerk, she dedicated over 200 pro bono hours aiding in the defense of those charged with felony crimes in the Fourth Circuit of the United States. Ms. Anderson is a member of the South Carolina Bar, District of Columbia Bar and Sixth Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Shelly Leeke Law Firm, Carles’ worked in policy law, tracking state and federal legislation. In her free time, Carles’ enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and cooking.
