North Charleston, S.C. – Seven people were struck by a vehicle outside of a North Charleston bar. The driver of that vehicle, 22-year-old Alvaro Zuniga-Rivas, then proceded to drive off.
Witnesses told investigators Zuniga-Rivas backed his vehicle out of its parking space before slamming on the gas and driving straight through the crowd. Out of the seven struck, four were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Zuniga-Rivas attempted to resist arrest when deputies caught up with him. Leaving the scene of an accident with personal injuries are the charges he is now facing.
