A three car accident that occurred in Goose Creek last night killed the driver of one of the vehicles. The fatal accident happened around 8:25 pm when a 1991 Honda struck two vehicles that were stopped at the Red Bank Road and Harbour Lake Drive intersection, SC Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said.
Berkeley County Coroner, Bill Salisbury said the driver of the Honda died at a local hospital from blunt force injuries. The victim was wearing a seat belt. Salisbury withheld the victim’s name until his family could be notified. A passenger that was in the Honda was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital. The drivers of the other two vehicles were transported to Trident Medical Center.
The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
