Spartanburg, S.C. – The man involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident in Spartanburg County on April 27th, 2011 has been arrested.
The accident occurred on Sugar Ridge Road near Inman when a man riding a bicycle, 35-year-old Stuart James Raynor, was hit and killed by a vehicle that then left the scene of the accident. Raynor was taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital where he later passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained in the accident.
On Wednesday, April 11th, the driver of the vehicle, Barry Tye Colquitt, 37, was arrested and charged with hit-and-run involving a death.
Colquitt was taken to Spartanburg County Detention Center to wait for a bond hearing.
