Spartanburg County, S.C. – The driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Spartanburg County has been arrested.
At around 9:30pm on Thursday, December 15th, two pedestrians were walking on a median along SC-9 near Woodcreek Drive in Boiling Springs when they were hit by an SUV. This caused one of the pedestrians to end up in the northbound lane, where they were then hit by a pickup truck. They did not survive. The other pedestrian was taken to the hospital and is currently being treated.
Forty-five-year-old Richard Crocker, the driver of the SUV, continued driving and did not stop after he hit the pedestrians.
Crocker was arrested and charged with hit-and-run that resulted in death and for no proof of insurance. He is currently being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
