Starr, S.C. – The driver of a motorcycle, who was involved in an accident on S.C. 81 South on the night of Saturday, April 7th, has been listed in critical condition.
At around 9:15pm, Rashad Lowden was riding his green Kawasaki motorcycle on S.C. 81 South when a Honda turned in front of him while trying to go to a convenience store. Lowden’s bike collided with the Honda, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle into the roadway.
Lowden, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, had to be flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the accident.
Lowden received brain surgery on Sunday afternoon and is still listed as being in critical condition.
The driver of the Honda did not experience any injuries from the accident.
