NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – A woman has been arrested who may be involved in causing a seven car accident this morning on Interstate 26 near mile marker 212. Traffic has been at a standstill since the time the accident occurred at 6:00am.
Many of the cars were heavily damaged, making the scene of the accident difficult to clean up. Four people involved in the accident were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
South Carolina troopers put out an alert to find 36-year-old Pamela Habersham, who was driving a stolen car and was involved in causing the accident. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office later was able to locate her and transported her to the Charleston County Detention Center. She was arrested for two outstanding traffic citations and is now under investigation for the carjacking that took place in Port Royal.
