Rock Hill, S.C. – Three people were killed and five people were injured in South Carolina as a result of storms from a tornado that passed through the state on Thursday, November 16th.
The three that were killed in the tornado were in York County near Rock Hill, South Carolina at the time of the storm. The storm also hit North Carolina as well, with the tornado passing through Davidson,Rowan, Cleveland, and additional counties.
Heavy rain led to accidents that left dozens injured accross the south. Luckily, one instance of an accident in Boone, NC did not result in injuries. Chelsea Elizabeth Dufour, of Greenville, SC, was traveling on US 321 when her car hydroplaned and overturned. Emergency workers helped Dufour and her passenger out of the vehicle. The accident only resulted in property damage.
