A College of Charleston student was killed and the other injured on Sunday, November 18.
At 2:30 a.m., the two girls were walking across the Crosstown in downtown Charleston when they were hit by a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep did have the right-of-way on a green light and fully cooperated with police by remaining at the scene of the crime.
Hannah-Rose Elledge, 21, died of blunt force trauma, said the coroner. She was an exchange student from England. The other female was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC,) where she was treated for a broken ankle according to police.
