Great Falls, S.C. – A woman was injured on-the-job on Monday, January 30th, and had to be airlifted to a Columbia hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The woman was working at Morcon, Inc., a paper products manufacturer, located on James Baker Boulevard when the accident ocurred. At around 8:30am, the woman’s hair became caught in a machine, causing severe injuries to her head.
Chester County EMS and the Great Falls Fire Department arrived on the scene and airlifted the woman to Richland Memorial Hospital.
Morcon, Inc. stayed open after the accident.
The identity of the worker has not been released at this time.
