Roadways Turn Deadly Before The Holidays

South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that around 8:30 pm on December 16, 2010 a car accident ended tragically; killing 2 people and injuring 3. Early reports state that alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.
The wreck happened at mile marker 188 on I26 in the west bound lane. The accident was a single car accident. The collision occurred when the 1999 Honda Civic that was driven by Ismael Hill of Summerville went off of the road and struck a tree causing all 5 of the occupants to be ejected from the vehicle. None of the victims were wearing seat belts. Upon impact of the vehicle hitting the tree, the vehicle split in half..killing the driver Ismael Hill and a passenger Kimone Walters of Ladson. The other 3 passengers were taken to MUSC for further treatment; their condition is unknown at this time.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol are urging drivers to please take your time, slow down, buckle up and obviously don't drink and drive.
