Laura is an Associate Attorney at the Shelly Leeke Law Firm where she practices Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury.
Laura attended the University of Arizona where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Law & Public Policy. Laura graduated from the Charleston School of Law where she was the President of the Student Bar Association, a student member of the James L. Petigru Inn of Court, and inducted as a member of The Forensic Club and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. While in law school, Laura clerked for the Public Defender’s Office in Berkeley County and the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Charleston. During her clerkship, she practiced DUI pleas in magistrate court under the supervision of an Assistant Solicitor. Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation piqued Laura’s interest during her last year of law school where she took Pre-Trial Litigation and Workers’ Compensation courses. She received the CALI Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation,
Laura lives in Charleston where she enjoys spending time with friends, going to the beach, playing tennis, and walking her husky, Tara Belle.
